Message Unit 1 - an example of patriotized history

The most accurate overall description of what US troops do in Iraq is kill, not die.
The most accurate overall description of what US troops do in Iraq is die.

text:

The main lesson that should have been learned from the 60's, the 70's and every other decade is the lunacy of sending young people to die in unnecessary wars.

Message Unit 2 - an example of patriotized history

The US project is to target the Iraqi citizens and dominate their country.

Ordinarily, we don't criticize a conquest and targeting of the citizenry by saying it's "unnecessary." No sane person would criticize what Indonesia did to East Timor or what the US military did to the American Indians or what the fascists did to the Jews, Roma, Chinese, communists, and so many others in the 1930s and 1940s as "unnecessary". To say something is "unnecessary" is to say that it isn't a conquest and mass killing of the nonsubmitting population.
The US project is not to target the Iraqi citizens and dominate their country.
