Definition of
message (of patriotized morality)
-
For every patriotic text, there is a
patriotic message
that is delivered by the
text.
For patriotized morality, this
patriotic message
is always a
message (of patriotized morality).
-
The
message (of patriotized morality)
is the actual meaning delivered by a text, when the meaning is that the author supports the US government or that we should support it, or when the meaning is an identification between the US government and something else, such as God or our loved ones.
It is either a claim that the US government is good or preferred, or an identification of something that is not the US government with the US government.
The question of recurrent items in this diagram element category
The
patriotic message
is not one of the diagram element categories for which there is a small set of items that are used over and over, so we don't provide a list of them here.
There are certain
patriotic messages
that are found over and over in patriotic
texts, but the set is huge.
Although there is a recognizable set of stock
patriotic messages
that get repeated in patriotic
texts
about any one country in any one time, there are many countries where the US has done things at many different times, so the list is still very long. In future we may provide a partial list of these, organized by country and time. Meanwhile, for people who are interested in recurrent
patriotic messages, we suggest looking at the lists of
patriotic changes, because the different examples of any one
patriotic change
will often show similar
patriotic messages.
