The following cartoons are all basically the same; they all portray the US as a naive, harmless lifeguard, out to stop those violent Iraqis from hurting each other. Imagine if cartoonists portrayed the German conquest and occupation of France 70 years ago in this way, with cartoons of naive and harmless German troops and leaders shocked at the violence of the French and doing their best to save the violent French from themselves.
(So, for example, for that first cartoon, imagine the sign says "Peace in France" and the soldier trying to paint it is wearing a German uniform.)

Here's a different sort. In reality, of course, the US government has imprisoned Iraq and is tyring to kill or imprison all Iraqis who don't submit to US domination. But the cartoon portrays the US government itself as the victim, imprisoned by Iraq:
